It's Bringing music back to the grassroots
Life After 60
I can report that there is life after 60. According to Myke that is. Apparently the Government marked this mile stone in his life by sending him a mountain of forms which he claims will take another 60 years to fill in - and that was just for his bus pass.
So from Birthday Party to a poets corner it's been a busy week for The Mashers and besides singing a few songs there has been a bit going on behind the scenes. It's all in this weeks News Blog which you can find in the RSS corner of our Profile on this site or by going to our main site HERE
Two events coming in August crying out for your support, on Sunday 9th August the Charity Event for When You Wish Upon A Star at The Star Inn Rawmarsh - twelve local bands and The Mashers slotted in around 3:00pm. Full details HERE
Then on 23rd August at Rawmarsh Trades and Labour Club, Rawmarsh, The Acoustic Rotherham Folk Road Show. Folk in the Working Man's Clubs. The Mashers are joined by Tina McKevitt and Matt Hegarty plus Phillip Hartley for what we hope will be an entertaining evening of Folk Music. We could really do with as much support as possible on this night as we try to convince Club Promoters that there is a place for Folk in their entertainment programme. The evening kicks off at 7:30pm. If you can make it we would appreciate seeing your smiling faces. Details HERE
