AFcollective Artist Network

It's Bringing music back to the grassroots

Hi All

Yes Acoustic Rotherham's first birthday approaches fast, and Sunday's afternoon of music promises to be great.

WHERE? THE MONKWOOD, HAUGH ROAD, RAWMARSH - TIME? 1:00PM finishing around 7:00pm. DATE? 25th OCTOBER

Doors open at NOON

You can check out the full list of those performing HERE

We've slightly changed the format for our birthday by including a Special Guest Spot. This Quarter the artists will include Penny Cook who appeared as a very nervous 16 year old at our first Acoustic Rotherham Hiring Fair, and will treat us to three or four songs : Philip Hartley who has been a great supporter of Acoustic Rotherham oveer the past year: David Kidman, who is part of the Acoustic Rotherham team, and always makes me laugh with his songs.

PLUS
there is a chance that Ray Hearne will be popping in to give us two or three songs off his new CD which was released this Monday 19th October, having listened to a couple of the tracks I can promise that this will be a real treat.

The On Stage Times can be found HERE and just 'cos it's The Mashers at 1:00pm please don't be frightened about getting in early.

The improvements to The Acoustic Rotherham Web Site continue - there's over a hundred pages to reconstruct though, so please be patient. However the main pages have been done + you can expect new features very soon.

On 24th October there's to be a fund raiser for Unity Against Facsism at Nellie Deane's in the form of an Evening Of Acoustic Music. Andy Holt (Toein' In The Dark) will be hosting and of course The Mashers will be lending their support.

26th October is of course Nellie Folk at Nellie Deane's.

You can keep up to date with all that is going on in and around Rotherham by going HERE

And of course the NEWS BLOG is up, with news of how the first Flat Cap Folk Club went and the brilliant performances of Brother Crow and Toein' In The Dark, plus the usual ramblings can be found HERE or any of the usual places.

Thanks for your continued support and we hope to see you on Sunday.
