Crazy and Insane!

13 years ago my father and I took a long cab ride to Surrey to pick up a bundle of Orange fluff and bring her home. We called her Amber. The pet suppliers were a bit dodgy, allowing us to take the cat from its mother far too young and without her shots so she ended up getting very sick after only a few days. I remember leaving a note for my mother on the kitchen table (my mother had conveniently been out of town!) saying "Hi Mom! We got a cat. Her name it Amber and she is very sick." My mother was furious. Anyway, a few weeks later she jumped out the window and broke 3 of her 4 legs. So she looked a bit like a mummy and had to wear on of those cone-head devices to keep her from gnawing on the bandages. Later she developed arthritis, thus leading to her current obesity problem due to lack of exercise. We've had her on a strict diet of senior cat food (the only kind she will eat) for 10 years now and she never seems to get any thinner. She has also developed schizophrenia, which causes her to rip her fur out and leave it all over the house. This is very disturbing. She also pukes quite a bit, which is gross. In spite of all this, she seems to purr a lot and has loads of personality. She's a bit of a princess and refuses to put her paws on the dirty ground outside, so she's an indoor cat. I wrote my most recent song about her: "Crazy and Insane". I hope you will take a moment to listen to it. xx
