Music and Politics!!!

Hi All An interesting week for the Mashers making for what I hope might be an interesting and thought provoking News Blog for this week. All the artists at Acoustic Rotherham 5 stood tall and proud in their vocal support for the very late change in venue for the event, which was forced upon us because our normal venue allowed a BNP meeting in the pub. The full story is in the Blog, read it and be frightened!! I want to thank all those who have sent messages of support to me over the past few… Continue

Rockin' Mashers

We had real problems posting our Blog update on the Ning sites last week. Stand Well Back..................................

Hi One and All Yes - stand well back Dickie has germs........... I'd like to think that this is an adequate excuse for checking in with you so late in the week, but while the "Man Flue" has contibuted, the main reason is that I've had computer things to sort. Life can be complicated sometimes, and I'm a lazy soul, so when my USB Ports went pop on me last year I simply Emailed files to and from my Laptop, depending upon what I needed to do. But there came a time when the old Hard Drive on the m… Continue

Hi Everyone - I think this weekend marks the start to a return to reality for most people as the kids all head back to School and the older ones start pestering for the expensive "must have's" before their return to University - oh for the simple days of books, pens and paper, and cassette players........... Many Folk Clubs will be re-opening over the coming month and of course most are now beginning to push their Autumn / Winter seasons. Life After 60

I can report that there is life after 60. According to Myke that is. Apparently the Government marked this mile stone in his life by sending him a mountain of forms which he claims will take another 60 years to fill in - and that was just for his bus pass. So from Birthday Party to a poets corner it's been a busy week for The Mashers and besides singing a few songs there has been a bit going on behind the scenes. It's all in this weeks News Blog which you can find in the RSS corner of our Profi… Continue
