Greeting Frae Edinburgh

Sad to say I'm not a musician although I have tried a bit of singing and the guitar (where did the neighbours get those pitchforks and flaming torches from!).

However, as a photographer and web designer I have had the great pleasure of working with a wide selection of musicians and bands both online and during the Edinburgh Festival season as host of the annual Edinburgh Internet Festival at www.scotfestival.com

I am delighted to have found this network and forward to visiting members pages and finding out about you all!

Beltane - A Celebration

Beltane - A Celebration!
One of the most spectacular events to be held within the city and hugely popular with both locals and tourists alike - Beltane was the first event reviewed by the Internet Festival back in 1999 and has regularly featured in E.I.I.Festival photographic exhibitions ever since.

This online celebration of the Beltane Fire Festival formed the opening exhibition of the Edinburgh International Internet Festival 2006 and contains re-mastered

Musicians Wanted For The GD Sessions

Over the spring and summer of 2009 - The GD intends to host a short series of live music sessions across a number of venues within the Gorgie Dalry area. These events will be recorded for inclusion on the GD website as a series of web-videos.

What a fantastic film and beautiful music you have produced. having worked for many years with older people. I know that many of the talents they possessed are forgotten or have lain dormant, and only need encouragement and a bit of help to realise thier potential to discover new and rediscover old talents I worked with one lady who although blind produced the most fantastic variety shows using her fellow residents talents, and her comedy script writing talents, we always had such fun rehearsing and putting on shows for families and friends.

Hi PoL-

Welcome to the network. I've been receiving airplay on AFC for about a year now, and this new site is a great addition to what they do. Rick is top-notch, honest, and sincere in his support of independent musicians like me.

I look forward to getting to know you better, and hope to see you around here soon . . .

Hi Paddy
Been a crazy week - getting ready to visit London as the charity I work for as the day job has been nominated for a big award. However, hope to get more involved when I get back. "Bet you got a few stories"...

Yup and a few Edinburgh festival ideas I hope to be able to share with you all.

Meantime I invite you to view "St Kilda - Music Frae The Forgotten Isles" Having relearned the piano after almost 70 years - Trevor, a care home resident in Edinburgh has helped recover lost melodies from the islands of St Kilda. - Click above to view a special movie featuring Trevor playing one of the pieces alongside images of the islands.

Hi folks ..
good to have attracted your attention and pleased to add you ..
if you scan the site .. you'll see that we aren't a marketing tool
in the sense of myspaz nor a social diary of a dilettante
a la facebroke !

As soon as you can , would you put some content
into your profile , who you are .. what you do
that kinda thing ?

In the meantime .. welcome !!
