£5 sounds fine.
I know a band that were charging £10 for a CD. It did have 10 songs on it and was recorded in a studio plus was professionally printed.
A fiver is fine for a demo.

just a suggestion for packaging, I did this origami CD envelop for "Songs for the Moon" using recycled cardstock and printed them myself at home...it was very enviromentally friendly and loads cheaper than using jewel…
