Wizard Wheeze Part Two

Saturday Morning, and Michael gently awakens me from my shivering slumber by hammering on the side of the van... "Morning Michael" - I recognise his M.O. by now...

It appears the Sun has started to shine and the rain is dwindling to a few scattered and isolated showers, the flooding on the site has started to subside, and the sky has a mostly blue, rather than a mostly grey colour. Hurrah!

But! we understood that there was to be a drumkit there for 2 days, but the drummer took it home the nigh… Continue

Wizard Wheeze Part one

I'm back from a grueling 4 days at the Wizard festival in New Deer, Aberdeen, right at the northeast corner of Scotland.

We had been alloted a stage by the festival staff, which was an outdoor construction made of sterlingboard and steel brackets, with 2 potato crates for the speakers. Given the weather (45 degree rain) and 40-50 MPH wind, we decided that we'd use the indoor space they had given as an alternative. (having seen the forecast the previous few days, I was dreading an outdoor stage)… Continue

Back From Spratton - Whew!

Well, it's been a long drive of some Thirteen hours back from Spratton Folk Festival, where we had great fun, and especially bumping into people we only have ever seen online. It's good to smell you all again, he he he...

We've had precious little sleep, Maria even less than me, since I've been dozing off in the back of a car most of the day (10 of 13 hours back of car, and the last 3 in cramped front with beagles (usually Brain-Dead, the youngest of the 3) sniffing at my ear and threatening to… Continue

Woah! That was my mandolin debut, one day I'll be able to look back and laugh. Although I was as rough as old badgers bottoms the sound was very good quality. So thanks (I think). How did you record it?
Cheers

Hi Jeremy, we all enjoyed your set at the Arts Centre last week. Helluva trip, but appreciated. I've stuck some pics of the gig on my page if you want to nab some, wire in.

Cheers

Practice on Loom is to be encouraged, it's not a controversy.

Jeremy,
No need to apologize, you and Maria were being enjoyed tremendously.
Like I said, start playing and when other people want to do something else, they can go to another room.
You caused no trouble as far as I'm concerned and I didn't see anyone leaving either.
Cheers mate!
Jay
