It's Bringing music back to the grassroots

Hello! I just thought id share a song with you that I haven't really shared before now with anyone. Its not funny, like most of the other ones I have been writing lately, but I like it for its simplicity and honesty. I'm not sure about the words in the chorus. They just kind of came out and I stuck with them in the end. I have a awkward relationship with words sometimes. Its as though they take precedence over content at times and I have to work around them. Anyway, I'd love to know what you think. Please send feedback.

Here's a morning-horse to inspire you for the New Year! :

Nice song.
Going through a bit of a shit time in my relationship with my wife just now and to hear a song like this makes me feel a bit better about life.
Love the melancholy. Guitar playing sounds not bad. Just right for the mood of the song.
Nice one.
Slumdog.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you two work things out soon! But I'm happy you like it. I wrote it when I was feeling a bit down about someone and it brought me up a bit as well. But not to the point where I lost perspective. Music is great for that kind of thing. xx

Hi Erin. It all fits the way it is, I don't think this song should & could be done any other way. It's quirky, some of the lyrics don't fit & the playing isn't perfect, just the way it should be.

It's a simple & honest style. Well done for knowing 7 chords, I think I'm up to about 10 (that's over a year learning each one).
I enjoyed listening.

Hi Erin.

I like your voice v much. I think the innocence of the guitar definitely fits the song well. I think the 2 nd guitar part also marries well as do your vocal harmonies.

Best regards

Erin, sounds great to me. Love when the extra vocal kicks in. I could see the whole song done with two vocals and possibly a duet. you have a nice voice. The more you play the better the guitar will get it wouln't be as cool if the guitar was perfect.

Nice song...I like the vocal harmony at the end and overall simplicity of the arrangement. One thing that might enhance it is to make the vocals a bit louder...and/or guitar a bit softer so the voice can be heard distinctly.
