It's Bringing music back to the grassroots

I decided to learn one of the songs that was number 1 on my birthday, which is Joe Dolces Shaddap Your Face, which was number 1 in Australia on the day of my birth

This led me to think we could make a challenge of this

Who fancies recording a cover of a song that was number 1 on your day of birth? We'll make a bit of a radio show of the people who send them in and have a bit of a laugh

Here's a website where you can find out the number 1's of your birthday from UK, US and Australia to help you out

http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/birthdayno1

You dont have to stick to those countries though, any country will be fine, just when you send your track through tell me which country it was number 1 in and your birthday

End date to send tracks through will be my birthday, the 5th of Dec

Hmmm. Fun idea for a challange. I'm not sure if I will have my stuff set up in time to record anything. My choice is between

UK and US - The Beatles - I feel fine
Australia - Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs - Somewhere over the rainbow

It is gonna have to be Somewhere Over The Rainbow if I'm able to do it.

does a band have a birthday?

Well, I guess that just makes you have an even greater choice of tracks as you can pick any member of the bands birthday

Great fun Lew. I just looked mine up for UK charts and it's THE OSMANDS - Love me for a reason. Ha ha ha ha. Somehow I can't see me getting away with that one. :)

I must admit, I'd love to hear it hahaha

Dont worry, the one I've picked was the number 1 in Aus, my UK one was by ABBA, which I left well alone

Check out your others, I couldnt leave people just one choice
