AFcollective Artist Network

It's Bringing music back to the grassroots

I've had a bit of time to go round and listen to a few of the newcomers in the last few days and there's some incredible talent being added to our collective here

I occasionally do a guest show on AFC radio, and what I'd like is for all those people who've only joined AFC this year to send me a track so I can put together a show of our new talent and showcase it for all and make it easier for everyone to keep up with whats going on on here

You can either attach your tracks to this thread, or send them to toorare2die@hotmail.co.uk and I will do the show as soon as I have enough tracks to make up an hour

Hahaha, there's always one!

How about a "Roots of the AFC show" as well?

If I didn't have man flu and wasn't a useless old fogie I might have thought of this great idea for a show Doh!!

Dont envy me Rick, the weight of the genius on my shoulders is overbearing

I keep telling him to get off and walk for himself, but he never listens :-p

Good idea Lew! I know what it's like tryin to keep up with all the newbies, and one of the best ways of integrating into the community here, is by tuning in to the Radio (particularly if you have a track being played) and going on the Radio chat room, so you can put a name to the sounds you're hearing. Quite apart from the camaraderie that develops. :)
And a 'Roots (or 'boring old fogies') of the AFC Show' sounds good too. Rewards outstanding loyalty in the face of extreme 'not having a life' syndrome. lol
I've used these methods on my nessmp3 radio show and it's still the best way of making members feel part of it all. (As long as they can get tuned in that is!!! Grrrrrr!!) Here on the AFC, it's the easiest thing in the world to turn on the Radio :)

So does that mean you are defecting to AFC radio Maria :)

I'm a very loyal person, so I feel duty bound to keep doing my show for nessmp3, but I added my support to AFC Radio, Gatherings, Promotions, Competitions, Live Stream TV, Candlelit Sessions, Network Development and Administration a long time ago Rick!! I'm very hurt that you haven't noticed :( :(
But then you're probably just using standard practice for dealing with your stalker, by pretending you don't notice me at all.. yeah that'll be it!! :)

Hi Lew....good to see that some of sonic people like Gumbo are jumping in with both feet, the "Radio Song Archive" file on file factory has hundreds of songs from people who've sent mp3's and CD for the radio...don't be afraid to grab some of them too if you like :) :) :)

I know Dol, I could even go and snatch the songs from their sites, but part of the idea behind this is to get people involved as well as on the radio. I want to talk to these people as well as appreciate their music, so its those who respond who get on to this one - and I'll leave it as long as it takes
